We strongly encourage you to keep your child reading all summer long. Trips to the public library can be a good way to stimulate interest in reading. A copy of the bookmobile schedule should be kept posted in a convenient place. Those students who READ over the summer do better starting class in the fall.

Summer outings to the zoo, museum, plays, library, parks, other states, are great things to write about. Your child may like to keep a summer journal or perhaps WRITE letters to friends or family about their experiences.

Keep using math all summer long. Garden or yard projects are a good change to put those MATH facts to use. Practice math facts regularly!
